Stay safer on the road with the Garmin's Varia RTL510. Unlike most taillights, the Varia has two main functions: a car sensing radar, and a safety taillight. The radar syncs with Bluetooth enabled Garmin devices and provides a visual and audible alert when a car is approaching. The taillight has up to one mile of daylight visibility and can be seen from 220-degrees, allowing drivers to see you well before the radar senses them. In its brightest mode (Day Flash) it produces 65 lumens and lasts up to 15 hours. With an improved mounting system, vertical design, and longer battery life, this light knocks its predecessor out of the water. With the Garmin Varia, see and be seen.

work as expected. Nice to have but need the seat adapter to be positioned high above the rear wheel.

Garmin Varia RTL510 Rearview Radar Tail Light
Works terrific. On a busy street, you know there is traffic, you don't need this. But on more lightly travelled roads you dont hear all the traffic.

Going straight it is not so important. Turning right I can get along without it. Turning left, very much a safety issue.

Most drivers won't hit you, its the ones that don't see, don't want to see, or don't care to see you that will kill you.
