Giro's Women's Montara MIPS Helmet will inspire your ride no matter where the trail takes you. Its compact shape offers deep, confident coverage, and the Roc Loc Air fit system boosts ventilation while improving fit. In addition to the helmet's already impressive cooling power, it's outfitted with a hydrophilic, anti-microbial brow pad that can absorb up to ten-times its weight in sweat. Giro designed the Montara MIPS to have full goggle integration, with strap grippers on the back of the helmet, and a P.O.V. Plus visor that allows you to lift the visor and place your goggles on the front of the helmet. Yet another great feature is the breakaway camera mount integration -- a clever interface for your favorite light or camera.

Features:

  • Full-wrap in-mold polycarbonate shell with EPS liner delivers a lighter, more durable, and better ventilated design
  • Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) reduces the rotational forces caused by angled impacts
  • 16 vents with internal channeling ensure cooling comfort
  • Roc Loc Air retention system
  • P.O.V. Plus visor
  • Hydrophilic padding with antimicrobial lining helps you manage sweat while riding
  • Full camera mount integration
  • Full goggle integration with strap grippers

Helmet Measurements:

  • Wrap a measuring tape around your head
  • Make sure that tape is level from front to back
  • Note measurement and reference Size Chart
Circumference (cm)
S52cm - 55.5cm
M55.5cm - 59cm
L59cm - 62.5cm
XL62.5cm - 65cm

Note: Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your forehead without hindering your vision. Once you've got the right size, you can adjust the fit.

How to Adjust Fit:

  1. Adjust the fit system at the rear of the helmet for a snug, secure fit. Some helmets also include a vertical tuning feature that allows you to adjust the fore/aft tilt, for optimal positioning on your head.
  2. Adjust the straps so that they sit just below the earlobes.
  3. Adjust the buckle so that it rests against the back of the jaw/throat.
  4. Adjust the interior pads if needed.
  5. Check the fit to make sure helmet is comfortable and secure. It should not roll forward or back, or be able to slide off.

Note: All measurements are provided by the manufacturer and may vary depending on how measurements are acquired.
