The PRO 1 1/8" Gap Cap and Star Nut for Alloy Steerers is only for use on non-carbon steerer tubes. The "UD Carbon" version of this top cap is a weight-saving upgrade that adds a clean look to any bike.

Note: Using a star nut on a carbon fiber steerer may cause damage or failure.
