Zipp's 303 Firecrest Carbon Tubeless disc brake wheels were designed to make you faster. Zipp focused on making the wheels as efficient as possible because, efficiency=speed. Zipp made the 303 Firecrest wheels more efficient by creating a wider and shallower rim profile. It allowed for wider tires to reduce rolling resistance, it helped reduce weight, and the bulbous design proved to be more aerodynamic.

The rim is incredibly light weight, and the hub is fantastic. The engagement to transfer power is super-fast and a huge improvement over my old wheel, especially when going up hills around my very hilly neighborhood and it was quickly noticeable. A pricey upgrade but I think it was very worth it. It was easy to install with my Specialized Tracer pro tires with a tubeless set up. I've only had a couple of short rides on it so far but I am blow away by the performance. If you have the $$$ for these wheels, you will not regret it.
