Since I was unable to use these, I can’t be sure how well they work in winter temps.

What I can say is that their sizing chart is way, way off. My size 41.5 shoes with 3-bolt SPD-SL cleats are 1.5 times the size of these covers at size L, and can’t be fit inside of them without tearing them apart. I’m not even sure XL would fit. On top of that, there is no way 3-bolt cleats will work with these covers.
