Just came back from grocers and one side pannier with milk (other side had OJ) flopped into my rear spokes locking the rear wheel and tearing open a corner of the pannier, breaking the milk carton. What a frikkin' mess!. Luckily I was going slow over speed bumps. It might have bent spokes and damaged the rear wheel and there where no cars behind me.
Badly designed, flimsy panniers. Two velcro straps on top/front to grab your rack to keep from sliding off the back, and two bungees with 'S' hooks to hold it to the side of the racks but nothing except the material over the top to hold the panniers in place. The inner backing isn't stiff enough (they were shipped folded over!) to keep from bending inward towards the wheel and the bungees can't be made tight enough to keep the panniers from sliding to one side without tearing the fabric strap at inner bottom.
They should be made much smaller than 20L/each to be anywhere near nominal stability. ~NOT recommended for grocery shopping!
