I had no flare for awhile, then went to Specialized Hover (12-degree flare) and realized that I needed more flare and a shorter drop. After researching and testing, I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. LOVE THEM! They're so comfortable for me. The short reach and shallow drop is just what I was looking for. The Venturemax was a very close second - the hand position on those are almost perfect. But ultimately the Beacon won.
