In terms of functionality, this lever is a 5. Shifting is crisp (I paired with a RD-RX812 and a 11-40 cassette), and braking feel is solid. Getting used to the bleeding procedure takes some time, but you'll be fine if you watch the Park Tool video as you do it. It's also great to be able to adjust reach and free stroke.
Shimano shifters have gotten stupid expensive, but you get what you pay for, I guess.
