I love friction shifters and this one works great out of the box. No need to adjust tension and super easy to set up and adjust to almost any front derailleur. Just have to set high and low limits and you are set. Also worth noting since I was curious prior to buying is that it has no clicking intervals. It's just a quiet shifter from lowest to highest. Greatly recommend.
