Shimano XTR RD-M9000 Rear Derailleur (Black) (11 Speed) (Long Cage) (SGS)
I purchased my first XTR long cage 11 speed derailleur to build up an Emonda road frame using my existing 11-40 cassette. The derailleur is spec’d to accommodate that cassette and work with 2X. I matched it with Gevenalle drop bar brake levers with Microshift 11 speed thumb shifters designed for Shimano 11 speed MTB. All in an attempt to create a drive train with good climbing gears for the many hills and mountains in the Adirondack’s. Front chain rings are 50/34.
I have always used mechanical shifting, and this setup is the smoothest I have ever ridden! Very precise! I was so impressed that I began to upgrade my other bikes. Two bikes I used Paul Components thumbies to attach the microshift thumb shifters which also work great. I have now converted my road bike, vintage road bike, gravel bike, and soon my indoor trainer bike…all exceeded my expectations! Performance bike had the best sale prices and have been super! Quick shipping and fulfillment of back orders as promised! I also upgraded the road bike cassette to XTR at a great price! I completely recommend the XTR products and Performance Bike Shop!!!
